Whatever special, heavy or exceptional transport you want to carry out, Extra Services has the right transport pilots for you. In the Netherlands, but also abroad. Our certified specialists either know the way or have the expertise to find it, in the Netherlands or further afield. How many transport pilots you need and where, is stated in the exceptional transport permit.
When transporting goods by road with vehicles or sizes exceeding the law, transport pilots are prescribed in the permit. With a valid permit, your driver will set off with our transport pilot(s).
Transport pilots direct traffic around your transport to ensure the safety of other road users. With today’s busy and complex traffic, this requires a lot of insight.
The transport pilot follows the route prescribed in the permit and has to follow to the stated driving times. The transport pilot is required to drive with the number of transport pilots prescribed in the permit. If no permit has been granted for the transport in question, a transport pilot is not allowed by law to accompany the transport.
